Assembly 'Breeze.WebApi2' which has a higher version than referenced assembly 'System.Web.Http'7/17/2014 When you watch Pluralsight "Building Apps with Angular and Breeze - Part 1" by John Papa, and try to follow his instruction to get start your first Angular project using HotTowel-Angular-Breeze. Some time you will experience compile error when you are at step: Angular From Scratch with HotTowel \ Angular From Scratch with HotTowel 'Breeze.WebApi2, Version=1.4.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=f6085f1a45e2ac59' uses 'System.Web.Http, Version=5.1.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35' which has a higher version than referenced assembly 'System.Web.Http, Version=5.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35' The trick is, you need to install all these packages from Nuget package manager console. example: Install-Package Microsoft.AspNet.WebApi.Client
Hope this tip will save your day.I recently pushing and dragging myself to learn Java script and Angular framework at the same time. I have to admitted that, as a C# developer for so long I was spoiled by strong type world, great IDE Visual Studio and XAML. Angular is a great framework to built a SPA (Single Page Application), but in term of UI designer tool, it kind of put me back at least 3 years to the past comparing to Expression Blend XAML designer. On other side, maintenance a hugs Java script source code can be a big challenge for C# developer, if we don't follow best practice and avoid shoot our self in the foot. Please read "Java script: the good parts" by Douglas Crockford. Yesterday, I listened to .Net Rock podcast # 1006 about Angular, an interview with Rob Eisenberg. It was a great talk and give me a big confident that future of Angular 2.0 will be a great tool to developer SPA for Mobile browser. I was wondering if Angular is going to release TypeScript definition for their framework. So I post a comment, few minutes later I got reply from Rob. I am glad that Angular team really like TypeScript, and releasing definition file is at least in the discussion too.
One of the RESTful rule is to properly utilize HTTP methods: Get, Post, Put, Delete. Where Get is used for retrieving data from server; Post or Put is for creating or updating object. Once a while I ran into a problem where I need to run a query with a long complex filter expression (or criteria). It is very difficult to describe the entire filter express in URI query string. Even worse, the length of that filter is exceed 20XX character, My point is, it is very loooong. I cannot instead just send the filter expression in HTTP message body, if I want to be a good REST citizen by utilizing GET HTTP method for this query request. ![]() So I have to use either Post or Put method in order send the filter in message body. Some cool kids suggest me to revise my query again, try to split it into smaller, simple until. That's sound like a good idea, but I don't want to run multiple requests and then aggregate result at client. Please help me share your experience on how you used to solved this kind of problem. ![]() I am sure RESTful police is looking to capture me, because I violate this rule. I recently played with Azure Cloud Service aka Web or Worker Role. I notice that it toke long time to deploy my package. In the package I had:
Then I run 20 client app simultaneously from my home, and run another 20 client app from another Internet end point (external IP address). I keep it running for 1 hour without any error. I was expecting
How come it take so long to deploy?Turn out that I have wrong expectation with it. ACS does what it suppose to do. To me ACS is in a blur line between Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS).
Here are what I'll use ACS for:
![]() Every Khmer Unicode writer should know about this character code 17D2. It is a character we have to type before every single Consonant character to make it become subscript aka ជើង. Even Cambodians see these subscripts as distinct character forms. This 17D2 code was introduce and issued to Khmer script (Official language for Kingdom of Cambodia) in Unicode version 3.0 in September 1999. It was a big update and encoded 49,259 characters. Khmer has 103 characters added (In including number, and various sign / symbol) Technical drawbackThere are 2 drawbacks that I could think of. First one is Storage: each Unicode character is 2 bytes space and we need 2 Unicode to represent 1 subscript letter in Khmer, that toke 4 bytes. If we have 1 distinct Unicode to represent 1 subscript, then we would save a lot of storage space in document or transferring data across internet. Second drawback is Processing: Imagine in every NLP application (Natural Language Processing) such as Spell checking, Word segmentation, etc... will have to check 2 characters instead of 1 to determine whether a letter is a consonant or subscript. This will consume overhead processing time and memory. Bright sideBecause we have our own Khmer Unicode, we can display and store Khmer text in digital form properly, no need to depend of ASCII Font problem any more.
